Made in Varina - Nouveau Farms Launces its Own Wine Brand
Years from now - if all goes to plan - patrons of Nouveau Provisions will muse, "I wonder what came first, the farm winery or the urban tasting room?"
For the record, The farm winery was suppose to come first. The six plus acre Varina parcel was purchased in 2021 during the COVID. After years of back and forth with Henrico to get the land licensed and approved for farm winey zoning as well as construction drawings approved, they elected to move forward with a city based tasing room on Cary St.
A natural extension of the farm winery, the wine lounge features small plates, desserts and wine from around the globe. The farm winery will allow patrons to unwind and reconnect with nature. They'll have a space for tasting and enjoying wine, farm workshops, yoga retreats, farm to table dinners, weddings and other events.
